How to install the valve correctly
Inspection before installation:
The kind type of commonly used valve, specification is more, use what kind of valve, ought to choose according to the utility of the valve, the characteristic of medium, maximum working pressure, highest temperature and medium velocity, flow rate or nominal diameter of the pipe.
Before installation, all valve models and specifications should be carefully checked to see if they meet the design requirements.
Check whether valves can be used under required conditions and perform hydraulic or hydraulic tests as necessary according to valve type and factory specifications.
In addition, should also check whether the packing is intact, gland bolts have enough regulation allowance, and to check whether the valve stem and disc is flexible, there is no stuck and skewed phenomenon.

Caution when installing valve
1. The open stem valve can not be directly buried in the ground, to prevent the corrosion of the stem, can only be installed in a covered trench, the valve should be installed in the operation, inspection, disassembly, maintenance and easy to operate location.
2. Do not allow to throw the valve when handling, to avoid damage and deformation.
When stacking, the carbon steel valve should be separated from the stainless steel valve and the non-ferrous metal valve.
When lifting the valve, the wire rope should be bolted on the connecting flange of the valve body and the valve cover. Do not bolt on the handwheel or the valve stem to prevent damage to the valve stem and handwheel.
3. The installation position of the valve shall not interfere with the disassembly, maintenance and operation of equipment, pipelines and the valve itself.
The installation height should be convenient for operation and maintenance. Generally speaking, the valve operating handle should be 1-1.2m above the ground.
For valves with more operations, a fixed operating platform shall be installed when the valve must be installed 1.8m above the operating surface. When the valve must be installed above or below the operating surface, an extension rod or a horizontal installation of the valve rod shall be installed. At the same time, a hand wheel with a transmission device or a remote operating device shall be installed.
The Angle of the axis of the valve driving device should not be more than 30 degrees, the joint should be flexible rotation, convenient operation, accurate indication.
For valves with thermal displacement, the actuator shall have compensation measures.
4. In horizontal piping, it is preferable to install the valve vertically upward or with the stem in the upper semicircle, but not with the stem facing down.
Valve stem and handwheel in vertical line must be installed along operating circuit line.
When available, valves should be installed as centrally as possible for ease of operation.
Valves in tower area pipelines above 4m above the ground shall not be located outside the platform for easy installation and operation.
5. For directional valves, the installation direction shall be determined according to the medium flow direction of the pipeline.
If the installation of globe valve, should make the media from the cabinet plate below the flow above, commonly known as low into the higher.
6. When installing threaded valves in piping, make sure to install union union near the valve for easy disassembly.
7. Install the flanged valve, make sure the two flanged sections are parallel and coaxial with the valve flange.
8. When the new valve is in use, the packing should not be too tight to avoid leakage, so as to avoid the valve stem pressure is too big, wear and tear, and open and close laboriously.
